Easter Fix - 30 Day Clean Eating and Shakelogy Challenge Group!


Easter is fast approaching. The months are flying by, I feel It will be summer before we know it. Easter is one week away. And you know the Easter candy has been out for a good bit. I went grocery shopping last night & I never go in the candy section, but it was EVERYWHERE. At the end of aisles, bright colors to catch your eyes & draw you in. I plan on staying on track best as possible, just like I say all the time. But we are humans and you know that chocolate egg will just stare you in the face, and maybe you choose to have a piece, it's okay. And even if you plan on staying on track best as possible there is always a chance you may over eat & your portions will be outta whack.


 

IT HAPPENS TO THE BEST OF US!!

I feel positive that I have a plan in place. I am going to use this as my "cheat" meal but I am going to stick to my portions & enjoy this meal, BUT there is always a chance. Especially since we will be going to my families. They always have goodies, candy, junk food. And even though I know I shouldn't have it & I know it's not part of my meal plan, my hands have a mind of their own (someone tell me I'm not the only one)

So, I'm going to need a good candy/Easter detox to get me back on track & the sugar out of my system. Because I has been working extra hard with the 21 day fix extreme, I don't want to throw my hard work away. And there are birthdays, weddings, and summer so I want to be looking my best.  It is time to slim down & tone up.

Goodbye Detox

Another phase down.

 There is ONE STINKIN'  week left. 

I'm not complaining here, but I so can not wait! 

I think I have been counting down the days since day two...boooo. But I know I needed this because I put my body through hell & high water weeks ago. 

Do I regret signing up myself & the bf? NO, but I'm sure Eric does. 

Every time I think of quitting, I stop to think why I started what was my reasoning. Then I think of my challengers & followers. What would they think if I quit and they get me going. And then I tell myself 7 more days, just 7 more days.


Ultimate Reset Update


I feel much better than I did on day 11. I really was getting myself worked up because of how I felt when I did this one year ago. It's difficult when you remember those things because you expect to feel the same way. BUT it does point out that 1. everyone is different : so something I am experiencing you may not. 2. Every time you do the reset it could be different. It all depends on how you treat your body and i'm pretty sure this go around I did a bang up job eating crappy.

So, last night we went out to watch the Pens game...that was difficult. The temptations of pizza, drinks,  edible arrangements, outside spring/summer fun. I will say I did great 100% on track!!! I took my supplements before we left & packed my dinner to eat there, grabbed my gallon of water and we were on the road.

Another struggle today....prepping for Mother's Day. The cooking and the baking...the house smelling so good. I am a little jealous that I won't get to try my Molten Chocolate Cake (recipe to come later) & my Meatball Casserole (recipe posted soon).

Double Digits

Can you believe it?

We've hit the double digit mark on the Ultimate Reset.

We are on day 11 and just counting down the days. 

Few things:

- we started the Detox phase. No animal based food. And this delish drink...NOT.

It literally looks like brown water, but I promise it's not. I don't mind the taste honestly, BUT it's grainy and no matter how hard you shake it, it still settles. So drink it fast. 

- I'm getting frustrated. And the reason for that, because I did this last year and I know how I felt. I had way more energy, but defiantly feel better then before starting. I feel bloated right now, I don't feel "lighter" like I did in week one. But I'm basing that off of it's that TOTM. I guess I thought I would feel the same, but I just same to trust the process. 

- I'm a simple girl. I tried to get all fancy the first week and eat a variety of foods. But honestly if I found something I LOVED I have been sticking with it.

- Sleep = deep sleep. I used to wake up  to everything and not be able to fall back asleep for a half an hour. Now I fall asleep  as soon as my head hits the pillow & if I wake up it's to move, but I go right back to sleep. 

- some days I feel FULL, others I need more. You don't go starving on the reset but, this time around there are days I feel hungry still. 

- sleepy time tea. Nothing special. It's just my comfort right before bed. It puts me in a calming state of mind. 

I can't say this experience a second time around has been awful...just not what I excepted.

Reset Your Body

I told you I would give you the good, the bad, & the ugly.  And although I am on only day 3 ....yes day 3. It's best I'm upfront talking about my journey when it happens.

Beachbody Ultimate Reset

These past couple of days have been rough. Mentally rough that is, and I think it's because it is so structured and you do need to follow the plan pretty much to a T. Most beachbody programs you get the program & nutrition guide, but they are just new recipe ideas (you don't have to follow it) From the time I woke up on Sunday I was antsy, I delayed taking my supplements & waited til Eric got up. Then we did and ate breakfast and can you say headache. Not from the supplements or the food, but I really think it's from the no caffeine and I only drink one cup a day, but that's when it hit me...I WAS ADDICTED. 

Tip #1: slowly allow yourself to let go of coffee/pop/etc. 

Sunday I had a headache but did the best I could to tell myself do what you can. Luckily I got all my food prep done Saturday, which meant all I needed to do was grab and eat.

I took a nap when I needed too and drank a ton of water. Water is KEY in this process, so make sure you are constantly drinking it. And I got myself to bed early to get my mind right for day two at work. 

My headache never left...and I didn't take anything because because you really shouldn't . So I just keep chugging  water. And then I would have to take bathroom breaks. But staring at a computer screen all day doesn't help. I was mentally exhausted, my eyes were so heavy. My game plan was to get home, pack lunches, get the furbabies situated and head to bed early. It was raining so no walk for the dog & no chasing birdies for the kitty. As soon as I sat down Dexy and I were zonked. We took a cat nap & I literally went to bed when it was still light out. Right after the first period of the pens game.... 

Tip #3 : listen to your body. Don't fight it, if you feel you need sleep. 



I slept from 8:30ish on and I moved towards the middle because Eric has a habit of falling asleep downstairs, so why not spread out? I woke up here and there. 1. Because Dexter got up a few times in the middle of the night to rub up closer to me, he nudged my face & we fell asleep but he doesn't like to stay in a position for long. And 2. I was getting hot upstairs and no air circulation.

On to day # 3..... Which they say day 3-4 are the hardest and I have to say I woke up with a slight headache, drank water and it was gone. My eyes are starting to hurt but nothing major.
 

**remember everybody is different. Your experience might not be like mine at all. Just because this is happening to me does not mean it will happen to you.**

I am not trying to scare you of this program. I think everyone should experience it once, but I did promise to keep you updated and I will do just that.
